光球舞會 GLOWBALL ROOM presents: Mina

光球不想只是躲在螢幕後面，猛寫世界各角落正在發生的音樂。更想要讓大家出來面對這股勢不可擋的全球潮流，在小而親密又活力滿點的派對中，不用害臊放開自己。因此光球舞會 (GLOWBALL ROOM) 就此誕生，第一屆就由倫敦音樂人 Mina ，帶著非搖不可的超載律動，揭幕首發派對！ GLOWBALL is more than just a Social Media account; we’re all about bringing the world’s most exciting music to you! We’re not just talking about it – we want everyone to dive into this unstoppable global wave. Imagine lively, intimate parties where you can let loose without a care. That’s the inspiration behind the birth of GLOWBALL Room! Our launch event, headlined by London’s club matriarch Mina, starts with infectious rhythms that will have you irresistibly hitting the dance floor. Get ready for a dance party like no other!

南倫敦長大的 Mina，學生時期浸淫在 Drum & Bass、Dancehall 等電子風格中。被 Buraka Som Sistema 的一員 Branko、Gafacci 的非系 groove 和鼓點爆擊後，不僅跑去非洲幾月朝聖當地音景，更與迦納饒舌歌手 Bryte 組起了戰隊，從製作到選曲，都散發著 Azonto、UK Funky、Afrobeats、Dancehall 等混血辣曲風，讓舞池保持高能歡樂又跳得香汗淋漓。 Mina 曾在 MoMA PS1、Nyege Nyege Festival、Primavera 等音樂祭演出，現為 NTS 主持人，與 Tash LC、Juba 共創 DJ 組織 Boko! Boko!，持續擔任忠貞的非系舞曲大使。

Mina, a South London native, delved deep into electronic styles like Drum & Bass and Dancehall during her formative years. Fueled by the infectious African percussions and grooves of Branko from Buraka Som Sistema and Gafacci, she embarked on a musical pilgrimage to Africa, immersing herself in the local scene for several months. Teaming up with Ghanaian rapper Bryte, they became a force to be reckoned with. Their collaborative works blend Azonto, UK Funky, Afrobeats, Dancehall, and more, keeping dancefloors pulsating with energy and sweat.

Mina’s performances at esteemed venues and festivals like MoMA PS1, Nyege Nyege Festival, and Primavera have solidified her status. As a host on NTS and co-founder of the DJ collective Boko! Boko! with Tash LC and Juba, she remains a dedicated ambassador of Afro-inspired club vibe.
